I’m currently a recent college graduate, I have a decent job, I have an awesome toddler, and a great fiancé. So, why am I sad? Why do I feel as though I can’t keep my feet on the floor. I’m becoming so uninterested, I just want to sleep. I don’t want to do anything at all. I’m about to announce my two weeks notice, at a part-time job, because I just CAN’T do it anymore. I’m trying to figure out when did I become so drained from something “simple” and “easy” to the rest of the world. I feel like I’m falling apart, even with all this support.
So, what are helpful things we can do when our bodies hit the floor? Lets focus on being productive and contributing to a healthy means of distraction.
- Read a book. I love to read, it helps me picture something other than my current situation.
- Play a game on your phone, tablet, or computer. (Not too much though, don’t get addicted, lol).
- Talk to your parents, significant other, or something close to you, that you can trust.
- Go for a run! Exercise has been linked to happiness, or is happiness linked to exercise? Just try it out, see what happens!
- Come to my blog! Vent, get to know others going through the same dilemmas.
- Watch your favorite movie. My favorite movie(s) is Halloween, I’m a big horror movie fan.
- Curl your hair, put on a cute outfit, wear those heels. Getting dressed up many help keep us occupied and boost our self-esteem.
- Lastly, take a mini trip. Drive to the ocean or the river. Go to your “calm” place, take a break from the kids.
I want to thank each and everyone of you that have made it to this point. I appreciate it and I hope to hear from you all soon! 🙂
